Calseraigne island (named Plane) is at the center of the national park of the calanques, before Riou island. It is in front of the calanque de Marseilleveyre.
The islands is only 22 meters high. Like in Riou, there are many rats and rabbits.
When there used to be big epidemics like the plague and the cholera, the merchandise of suspected vessels was put there and exposed to the four main winds to purify it. The calanque de Pouars, on the north side, gives an ideal sheltered spot for scuba diving or snorkeling, in case of mistral. You could maybe see beautiful Denti fishes.
