Luminy
The neighbourhood of Luminy is situated in a wooden area at the south-east of Marseille (district n°9). Luminy is a bit isolated of town center, it's bordered by the Mont Puget (563m) and the crête des Escampons. The university centre of Luminy count about 8000 students and it's the ideal starting point to join the calanques of Sugiton and Morgiou in less than 1 hour. You can also get the viewpoint of Sugiton "la Tour d'Orient" (the oriental tower) or hike to go to the grande Candelle and the Mont Puget. In front of the university centre, there is a large parking where you can leave your car before taking the principal route starting near the school of art and architecture. There is a fountain for hikers and 2 snacks food to eat.
